Description

A collection of poems by Ray Bremser whom Allen Ginsberg once described as "a better poet than I".

At 17, Bremser was briefly imprisoned after he went AWOL from the US Air Force. The next year, the court sentenced him to 6 years at Bordentown Reformatory for armed robbery. He began writing poetry there.

Bremser sent copies to Allen Ginsberg, Gregory Corso, and Amiri Baraka (then LeRoi Jones). They published his poems in Yūgen, a beat poetry magazine for "A New Consciousness in the Arts and Letters.”
