American poets featured include Robert Bly, William Bronk, Robert Duncan, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Denise Levertov, Carl Rakes, David Gianini, Yuki Hartman, and Lawson Fusao Inada. The prose sections include works by Gary Snyderm Russell Edson, Don Wulffson, Walter Abish, Marvin Cohen, James Purdy, and excerpts from works in progress by Charles Henri Ford and Dennis Silk.
