Hanuman Books was an independent publishing series founded in New York in 1986 by Raymond Foye and Francesco Clemente and printed in Madras, India. Produced in a distinctive pocket-sized format inspired by Indian devotional books, the series featured vividly colored covers and intimate editions by the avant-garde's most influential writers, artists, musicians, and filmmakers.
