The Super C sectional by Willy Rizzo for Mario Sabot. Manufactured in 1970, the modular sofa combines leather upholstery with a black lacquered wood frame, low proportions, and deeply pitched backrests characteristic of Rizzo's furniture.
This partial set comprises a three-seat module and lounge chair. Now out of production, Super C sectionals were produced in limited numbers and are increasingly rare.
Before interiors, there were tribunals, war zones, and flashbulbs—the Nuremberg Trials, the French Indochina War, the first Cannes Film Festival. Rizzo's furniture shares the same instinct for seduction that defined his photography.
