The Zigzag chair after Gerrit Rietveld, produced in the Netherlands during the 1960s. Originally designed in 1932, four planes of wood trade conventional legs for a single gesture. Reduced to its essential elements, the chair embodies Rietveld's pursuit of proportion and clarity.
This example is executed in stained oak. From an unmarked Dutch production.
